I have just found a web site which has masses of information all digitised and fully searchable. It is called
Enhanced British Parliamentary Papers on Ireland 1801-1922
This is a link to the site http://www.eppi.ac.uk/eppi/digbib/home
I found a rental list for 1888 covering my Gt Gt Grandfathers rental of land on the townland of Carrickrevagh albeit it was recorded as Karrickrevy.
There is also some interesting lists of some serious criminal acts some of which were classified as 'agrarian' or otherwise??
I clicked on the 'printable page' and then used right click and copy the document to my records.
Happy hunting |

Hi Redted --- you Bas***d
Not only do I still have several hundred parish record pages to transcribe but now you give us this. Aaaahhhhhhhhh!!!
Seriously though this is a great resource. OK there are not too many names (apart from Lord High Executioner-type people) but what names are there, are from that 'black hole' period pre Griffith's/pre-General Registration.
Many. many thanks |
