The Roscommon Journal, Saturday July 12 1902 page 2.
The De Freyne Evictions - The Campaign Opened. Operations were to commence this Monday morning. The following being the tenants affected P. Egan, Aughslustia, P Greevy, Regand and Madden Curraghoghill: Coleman and W reid of Feigh. Sheriff for the county arrived from Dublin and police etc. De Freyne wanted the rent and would eveict them in batches. Moved to Feigh where William Reid resides. Police deployed around the house plus onlookers about thirty. Plus a very full report of the proceedings. The moved to Thomas Regan who held 7 acres.Third brother Francis regan ordered money but not taken. Much further details. The Thomas Greevy. Then on Tuesday went for three families in Curraghoghill - full details provided.
