Thanks, this is the only information that I have ever been able to find on Toberdan
Thanks Again Tom Malooly
: : Info on my fathers family his name Patrick J. Malooly this was last name given in USA Family name was spelled Mullooly, I believe. He was born roscommon 1905 siblings were Della,Marie ,Mike and Bill who stayed in Ireland. the Town from was call
: : Tuberdon or something close have never been able to findon any map.
: : Would appreciate any help.

: : EMail: tmal@citris.infi.net

: Tuberdon is most likely the townland of Toberdan
: in the parish of St John's Knockcroghery. Townlands
: is the smallest civil division in Ireland and is
: usually too small to locate on anything but the most
: detailed map. You should be able to find
: Knockcroghery which is South of Roscommon Town on
: the road to Athlone. Armed with the name of the
: parish you should be able to make some progress,
: either by writing to the Parish Priest in St John's
: (records started there in 1841, using the services
: of the Roscommon Heritage and Genealogical Centre
: at Strokestown (they charge) or search the civil
: and parish (limited) records held by the Mormons
: in their Family History Centres records.

: I hope this is of some help, but please mail me if I can be of any further hel.

: Best wishes

: John
