Related Surname Info: Tracing a James Guckion, most likely from the Aughacashel area of Leitrim, that emigrated about 1850. He was following my McGoverns as they emigrated to NYC and later moved on to Mississippi and then Texas.

I am researching my ancestors and found that they may have ties to the townland of Crummy in parish Kiltubrid. I have McGovern and Cullen ancestors were from the townland of Aughlin/Aghlin in the parish of Oughteragh. Oughteragh is a parish just to the east of Kiltubrid and only a mile or so from Aughacashel. Living in Aghlin was a family of Mulvey's as well.
