Hi my name is Pauline and my Grandmother was Mary Sweeney born 1883. She married James Guihan. Her father was Bartley Sweeney and he married Anne Gallagher from Gealom.She had two brothers called John and James who went to the States. So far we are talking about the same family but how can Mary be both our grand mothers?<br>John Sweeney had a daughter called Mary born about 1882 could you have the wrong Mary?<br>My Aunt is still alive and told me that Bartley's daughter Mary was my Grandmother. My ggrandfather, John Sweeney, and his brother, James, came to US in 1850 and lived in Providence, Rhode Island. Their parents were Michael Sweeney and Mary Noon. I don't believe they came to US with John and James. I'm trying to find the townland they came from.<p>MaryFrances<p>
