I am trying to find out were someone may have gone to seminary in or around Co. Roscommon in the 1840's. Was/Is Maynooth the only seminary in Ireland to study the priesthood? I know Maynooth is near Dublin and I wasn't sure if there would have been a closer opportunity during that time. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help.<p><br>Scott, A lot of students went to the Continent to study for the priesthood. The Seminary in Salamanca, Spain, had many Irish students.<p>
