To whom it may concern: I am a direct desendent of John Ferris Beirnes and have information on his family after their arrival in Canada. He is my Great,Great Grandfather. What I don't have is where is brother settled. I know of several Beirnes' who are desendancts of either Francis or George who live in Birtle, Manitoba. I tried to obtain information while travelling in Ireland, from Dublin to Galway and only could get that he came from Roscommon. That seems to be where the name originated. I have his history and where he was burried in Pushlinch Ontario. What I would like to get is where and what he did prior to leaving Dublin, to England to USA then Canada. There was a good article in the Guelph newspaper about his painting the Church, which I saw several times. I lived only 13 miles from Guelph, in a town called Elora. My Mother still lives there.
