Based on my Great Grandfather's birth certificate my Great Great GrandFather Thomas McDonald was born in 1805 and my Great Great GrandMother Anne (nee Dervine)was born in 1817.<br> On his death certificate Thomas died at the age of 62 years in 1879 and his parents are listed as James McDonald a crofter and Ann Defley.<br> On the death certificate of Ann Dervine she died at the age of 68 years and only the name of her Father is listed as Peter Dervine.<br> I know that Thomas and Ann came from the Parish of Kilglass,County Roscommon and where part of the evictions from 1846-49 and lost 9 children before arriving in Scotland.<br> Any information that anyone can give me in regards to any of the above persons will be greatly appreciated.<br>Thank you, John

Do you know which eviction caused them to leave? <br> There were a couple of children who died at Grosse Ile in Quebec in 1847 who had traveled on ships that carried Denis Mahon's evictees. One was James McDonald, age 2, on the Naomi; one was Catherine, age 6, on the Erin's Queen. <br>Mary Lee Dunn<p>
