Cramer(Creamer)&O'Rourke(Rourke)Families

Post by Mary A. »

I need to find townlands and parishes in Leitrim County
for both names. My grandfather, James Henry Creamer was
born in Rhode Island (1888) but his parents, (Patrick & Anna Maria
nee:Grant) Creamer were born somewhere in Leitrim County.
Same for the O'Rourkes. James' wife, Annie May (nee; O'Rourke
or Rourke) Creamer was born in Rhode Island (1887). Her father,
Patrick Rourke (O'Rourke) was also born in Rhode Island (1859)
but her mother Mary Ann (Taylor) O'Rourke was born in
England (1861?). I have all info. from Providence, Rhode
Island about their lives but I can't find anything about
immigration, birth dates, etc. from Leitrim Co.(Creamer-Cramer)
& (Grants) & (O'Rourke-Rourke). All I know is that they all
came from Leitrim County. (Except Taylors from England).
I know this is confusing, but whos genealogy isn't?
What I'm trying to say is: Patrick Creamer (Cramer) who's
parents were Michael & Ann Cramer. (Don't know Ann's maiden
name!) were all born in Leitrim Co., Ireland around 1830's? Also, Patrick's
wife, Anna Maria Grant Creamer (Cramer) and her parents,
Patrick & Bridget (nee:Mauran) Grant born in Leitrim Co. around 1830's or 40's.
Patrick O'Rourke's parents, Terence & Ann (nee;?? ) Rourke born
Leitrim Co. around 1830's-40's. Cloone Parish could be in the
ball park but it's only a guess. They were all Roman Catholic
If anyone has a clue to this mess, please help!!!
Orne?, I really don't know, just guessing) Rourke were both
born in Leitrim Co.

My GGGGrandmother was Bridget McTiernan nee Rork. Her mothers name was Creamer. One of her sons was married in Drumkeeran. Haven't been able to establish for sure if that was where family were from. They came to Scotland c.1847.
