THOMAS O'ROURKE/ROURKE Mason by trade b. abt 1800 married ANN KEEF b. abt 1810 in Roscommon. They are believed to be burried in Eire.
One of their sons JAMES ROURKE b. 1844 in ? married MARY EARLY b. abt 1845 in Keadue Roscommon. This couple married at St. Patricks Cowgate in Edinburgh 1865 aged 20 and 21 years. They lived with other families from the Agrina area at 31 Graham St. They spoke Gallic and were a very tight knit group.
Mary Early's parents were LAWRENCE EARDLY (Crofter) and MARY GILHOOLY who were also born in Roscommon but went to Edinburgh with their families PRIOR to 1863.
JAMES ROURKE I believe had at least 7 brothers many married to Agrina women in the Edinburgh parishes and from here these O'Rourke's Rorke's went to Phildelphia PA, UK and beyond.
There must be some Keefe's, Eardlys, Rourke's who can fill in some of the connections. These groups come from the Lough Allen area on the Roscommon side of the Lake not the Lietrim side. Cheers Ann.
