Does anyone know how to access the Tithe Applotment Book Records for Ireland and in parituclar the Tithe Applotmant Book Records for 1830 for Rosommon. Ann B.Australia

Ann B.Australia<p>Go to the Church of Latter Day Saints Family History site at http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Library ... asp<br>and search - for 'place' enter Roscommon / then click on Roscommon - Taxation. The microfilm number is FHL BRITISH Film 100217.<br>Go to your nearest LDS Family History Center (you can locate it from the same site) and request the film. They should be able to get it in a week or two and you can search it there. The Tithe Applotment Books (TAB) are organized by Civil Parish and then Townland and are in handwritting.<br>-OR for more fun-<br>Go to Dublin. Go to the Geneology Center in the National Library and ask them for the film roll number for the Parish(s)and take it up to the National Archives where you can go through the microfilm and print out the the relevant pages. They won't help you at the National Archive unless you already have the film number.<br>
