I am trying to trace my paternal grandmothers family, I have found one on the 1901 census records that looks hopefull<p>Patrick 40 Kate 40, Children Maggie 10 Mary 7 John 5 James 3 and Patrick 9 months.<br>Tawnytallan Rossinver Rosclogher Leitrim<p>Can anyone help?<br>My father remembers Ocknahorra as where they came from was this a nickname for an area of Leitrim.<p>We visited Aunt Maggie's family in Bundoran in the 1970s <p>

It has a town in it called Ballinamore where my family comes from, the McManus'. My greatgrandfather is called Patrick who married Catherine Murphy. They had many children and I believe one of the girls married a McGowen. Also spelt McGaurin I believe. Anyway, I have met a cousin who is a McGowen (Margaret) who lives in Dublin, now. Paddy McManus, her closer cousin to me, lives in Ballinamore still.<p><br>
