Mary Anne Fallon & Eliza Dowling

Post by Eugene O'Brien »

I am trying to find the connection between an Eliza Dowling in NY and my paternal Grandmother, Mary Anne Fallon. I presume she was either her Father's Sister (a Fallon?), her Mother's Sister (who I don't yet know her Maiden name - any help here?), or through marriage to her Mother or Father's Brother.
Mary Anne immigrated to the US. with her Brother, John. She was 17 (he was 19) at the time when they arrived in NY on November 10, 1912. Their initial destination was listed as their Aunt, Eliza Dowling, (who was also listed as the one who paid their fare). Her address back in 1912 was listed as:
Eliza Dowling
345 East 36 Street
New York City
Mary Anne Fallon was born November 8, 1896. Her parents were Patrick Fallon (b. circa 1863, his Father was also named Patrick) and Mary Anne (b. circa 1873). Specific details on the area she was from are as follows:
Townland: Ballyglass
Civil Parish: Cloontuskert
Barony: Ballintober South
County: Roscommon
PLU (Poor Law Union): Roscommon
Province: Connaught
The 1901 Census showed the following living in the right area with the right ages (whom I am for the moment assuming to be brothers and sisters):
John Joseph Fallon, b. circa 1894
Bedilia Fallon, b. circa 1897
Maggie Fallon, b. circa 1899
Patrick Fallon, b. circa 1900
Any information on any of them would also be very helpful and greatly appreciated. According to my Father, Mary Anne's Father Patrick had been married twice and had 10 children in total.
I know the decendants of Mary Anne (from when she got to NY) along with births, marriages and deaths including Children and Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren should that be of interest to a relative.
Thanks!
Eugene
