Ginnerty surname

I'm searching for any knowledge of Ginnerty's in Co.Leitrum area. My great grandfather Patrick Ginnerty and his brother, Thomas (?) came to the Providence, RI area in the late 1890's or early 1900's. As far as we know, the only Ginnerty's in the U.S are our relatives. I found the name of a Christy Ginnerty who played for the Trim Celtic, a football club formed in 1967, that still plays today in Tully Field, Knightsbridge. Does anyone know of any Ginnerty's still living in Ireland? Thanks so much. Michele Ginnerty
