I'm looking for any information. My g-g grandfather was Robert Acheson (23/8/1847-5/11/1908) who was married to Jane Kirkpatrick (Jan 1850-15/9/1900). I know that my family were living between Cos. Leitrim and Roscommon between the 1700's and 1800's. My g-grandfather was Herbert James Acheson (17/3/1886-9/4/1973), in Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and I believe that Robert was born in Co. Leitrim. Herbert died in Glasgow, Scotland.<p>Robert's father was Alexander (Sandy) Acheson (1797-16/12/1867) who was married to Jane Cox (22/10/1808 -?), they were married in 1823 at Elphin, Connaught Province, Co. Roscommon. Sandy and Jane had 13 children all born between 1824 and 1847. Robert, who was the youngest child had ten children. Robert and Jane moved to Glasgow, Scotland in 1895, where Robert was a butler and egg merchant. Sandy's father was Robert/William Acheson (1760-31/8/1857) who was married to an Eleanor Unknown, they were married about 1789.
