I am looking for information on George McElroy,1st born in 1834 in Tinacarra, County Roscommon and his wife Catherine McElroy. His father's name was Adam<br>and mother's name may have been Mary. His brothers were Adam, Samuel and John. He married his 1st cousin Catherine on April 5, 1859 at Church of Ireland, Boyle. <br>His children were Jack (my Grandfather), Adam, Ellen Mary, Rachael, William, George,<br>Samuel, Richard, David and Robert.

They were in Tinacarra, Kiltycreaghton and Knockavroe. I see none thereabouts today in the phonebook but there are two residences in Tinnacarra/Tinnecarra (note spelling), Boyle. Perhaps they can help. Also, note: the COI retailors in Boyle are a tight crowd full of knowledge of their fellow co-religionists; see Boles, Taylor, et al. Best wishes.
