My Great-uncle Michael? Reilly of Raheela Frenchpark married Margaret? [Maggie} Ford of Kingsland?near Lough Gara in the latter 1800s ? and she brought her brother Andrew along with her to work on the farm.<br>My grandfather John and his wife Catherine[nee Reilly !] also lived there before they emigrated to Tunstall,Staffs. where he found employment in the late 1800s ?<br>After he died, his youngest son,my uncle Tom was sent back to the farm in Raheela to work on the farm.<br>I don't know when Michael died? but Tom stayed there with Maggie and Andrew until he went to join his sisters Mary and Flo in Hove,Sussex England after the 1939/45 War, where he and they died.Maggie died in 1936/7.?<p>Can anyone verify the queries [?] ?.<p>John Reilly. john57@xtra.co.nz

Ford (or Forde) was and still is a common name in Kingsland, Frenchpark. There is a townland in the Kingsland area on the shores of Lough Gara called "Derrycough", pronounced locally as Derrycoo in which some Fordes still reside. I suspect that your Maggie Forde was from Derrycough also.<p>
