James and Martin Weir 1814
Re: James and Martin Weir 1814
Regarding your message below: The Griffiths data base (1850's) has a Martin Weir in the parish of Tibohine, Town of Lisdrumneil. This Martin Weir shared land with my ancestors (Callaghans). In fact, Mary Wier (b. 1847) married my great-grandfather Cormack Callaghan. I'm pretty sure Mary's father was a "Martin" Weir.It is possible that Mary's father, Martin, is the Martin you are looking for. Also possible is that Mary's father, Martin, was a sibling of your James Weir (the father of both being yet another Martin Weir). I'm just guessing at both these alternatives given the 1814 dates you give and the date of Mary Weir's birth. <p> Information required on Martin Weir who was living in Roscommon in 1814.
