My great great grandparents were James McManus and Elizabeth Kelly, who I believe were from Kilronan Parish and perhaps from the Townland of Keadue. At the baptism of my great grandfather, John McManus, at Keadue RC Church in 1838, witnesses were James McManus and Bridget Cogan. I would be grateful if anyone has any possible information on these people. Thank you.
Michael.

I believe he was from county Roscommon and travelled to the United States around 1893. They had a son, James Frank McManus born in 1894 who married Helen Fitzgerald. I'm just starting this project and am wondering if we may have a connection. Look forward to hearing from you.
Kathlene

I've looked at my papers on McManuses in Kilronan Parish, which I have up to the 1900's, but couldn't find anything to connect your John and Margaret Doyle. The other North Roscommon parishes I have records from only go up to the 1870's. Contact me on my email address and I'll suggest some other sources - which you may or may not have already.
Best wishes.
Michael.
