Tunnicliffe's in Boyle

Post by Steve Tunnicliffe »

I have a small bible with the inscription <br>"To<br>Margaret Tonacliffe<br>for attendance at <br>Sabbith school from<br>Mrs H. Johnston<br>Boyle<br>1869"<br>Also on the back cover, inside:<br>"Margaret Tonacliffe<br>Hollybrook<br>Boyle<br>Co Sligo"<br>Does anyone know of any Tonacliffes or Tunnicliffes of this area and where Hollybrook possibly is? <br>Would 'Sabbith school' indicate RC or protestant faith and would there be a specific place for this school?

Sligo. The current address is Hollybrook, Ballinafad. There are two of your name in the Dublin telephone book. Sabbath school would have been Protestant. The Johnston's are still in/near Boyle.
