McRann's of Leitrim

Post by Sharron Maureen McRann »

I am looking for any information on the name McRann, my ancestors came to Canada in the middle 1800's, James McRann. We are not a common name over here, however we are managing to get our family-tree together, at least for the McRan's in Canada and United States. We are running into a blank when we try to trace our heritage to Ireland. We know that James came from near Drumshanbo area. Please send me by e-mail any information you may have. Thanks, it is the day before St. Partrick's Day.

I have an aunt who is more knowledgable on that side. I know she has contact with a McRann relative there. I'll see if I can get in touch with her.<br>
