NOON FAMILY of ROSCOMMON

Post by Charlene Bauer »

I am searching for members of my g-grandfather's family. They are reportedly from ROSCOMMON. My g-grandfather was PATRICK NOON who emigrated to the US in January, 1855; brother, THOMAS, August, 1851; brother MICHAEL, possibly in 1848; sister, Cecily in 1850; sister, Bridget, we don't know, but we think she was married to JAMES O'HARA before she arrived in the US. These siblings were born in the early 1820's - 1830's. We would be so appreciative if someone could provide information on this CATHOLIC family. They all settled in OHIO. Patrick married Mary KAVANAGH, Michael married Anna MURRAY, Cecily married John FARLEY, Thomas never married.
Would anyone know of ports they may have left from In Ireland. We have found a record for Thomas departing from Limerick and then to Liverpool. Was this a common route?
Many thanks to anyone who can provide us some much needed information.
