My great-grandfather, James Benson, emigrated to Canada in 1853. He came from the village of Keadue, Kilronan Parish, Co. Roscommon. We believe he came with a brother, John, who continued on to Chicago, U.S.A. I am looking for other descendants of BENSONs, BENISONs, BENNISONs, or any other version of the name from the same area in northern Roscommon.
