re visit to roscommon

I am planning to visit roscommon for the first time in the next few days, can anyone tello me how far from Dublin it is and which is the best route, also does anyone know of any good places to stay, While there i want to do some research into family history , will i be able to search the records at St Nathys , and where is the best place to find other records , i would be glad of any help , <br> <br> Best wishes Pina Kapoor <br>
