Looking for family of John McGovern b. abt 1813 or 1833 Gortletteragh d. June 18, 1900 Killimaun, Mohill, Leitrim m. ? Alice Heslin b. 1819 or 1839 Co Leitrim. John is listed in his obit as 87 years old while on the death certificate he is listed as 67 years old. Alice is listed on 1901 census as 82 years old and 75 years old on her death certificate. They had 6 children: Bridget who never married, Charles who never married, John b. 1851 m. Rose Cox, Mary b. 1860 m. Tom Faughnan, Patrick b.? moved to New Haven, CT, and Michael b. 1852 (my ggrandfather) moved to US. In John's obit of 1900 it says two of his cousins were at funeral, James and Lawrence? McGovern. Thank you for any help.

I have a Bridget McGovern from Gortnaguillion, Leitrim. She was probably born c. 1800 Her first son, Thomas, was born 1823. Bridget married James Wrynn. Other sons: Michael (Bridget's father's name??) and John. Son Thomas emigrated to New Haven, CT.<br> Any possible connections?
