Margaret, James, Denis, etal Mcloughlin/Mclaughlin

Seeking information on the Mcloughlin/Mclaughlin family line. My ggrandmother was Margaret. She came to NY around 1890-1894 Margaret's married Joseph Jones and had chlidren-Joseph Jr.,Edward, Dennis, William, Michael, Thomas, and daughters Elizabeth and Margaret. The Jonses lived in Harrison, NY in the late 1890's until their deaths.<br>I believe there were other Mcloughlin's that came to America-there is an Elizabeth buried in the Jones family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery. I have had no success connecting her. I am unsure which of my father's cousins has the deed. <br>I was told there were some Mcloughlin's that stayed behind on the family farm in Leitrum. The farms was left to James. In the 1930's the farm was lost in taxes.<br>I think my ggrandmother was born around 1873.

Wow , this is amazing. I dont know if there is a conection but it sure sounds like it . My father was born in Leitrim in 1907. His name Dennis McLaughlin, son of James and Nora (Mcguire). He had sisters Margaret, Marie, Susan and brother Patrick. He left Ireland in the late 20's and settled in Chicago were he had numerous relatives, uncle Pat , aunt Delia(Bridget). The farm he was born on is still there and owned by the McLaughlins. Part of the farm was sold of when my dad was young but he rebought it and gave it to his brother Pat and his sons JOseph and James in his will in 1976. James lives on the farm and Joseph is as sort distance away on a farm inherited by his wife Mary. I have been there . The farm is in Rosinver co Leitrim. <br>
