McNiff and Forde

Looking for information on my Great grandfather Michael McNiff b.1856c and my great great grandfather Hugh Forde b. 1825c.<p>The following is records from the 1901 census.<br>Forde lived in Tents Townland, Inishmagrath Parish, Drumahaire Barony, County Leitrim<p>McNiff lived in Glackaunadarragh Townland, Inishmagrath Parish, Drumahaire Barony, County Leitrim<p>Any help would be appreciated. I don't know where to go from here, Thanks.<p>

My grandmother's aunt was named Ann McNiff, married to James McNiff, and she lived in Glackaunadarragh. I suspect that James was a younger brother to your grandfather Michael. I don't know where to go from here, Thanks.<p>There were no Fordes in Tents listed in Griffith's Valuation. There was a Mary Tobins listed there, though. And Hugh Forde and Catherine Tobins had a son Michael born in Tents on 13 AUG 1865. I assume that this is the Michael listed in the 1901 census. Hugh must have come from a neighboring townland. <br>
