My great grandfather, James Gilhooley, came to canada from Kilarga, Co. Leitrim to Canada in the mid 1800's. According to cencus, and Roman Catholic church records he was born approx. 1831 in Killargue, Ireland. He settled in Fermoy, Bedford township, Frontenac County, Ontario, Canada. James married Ann (Hanora)Kallagher and they had 10 children, my grandfather, William, being the youngest.<br>If anyone has any information on the Gilhooley's from the Kilarga (Killargue) area, I would love to hear from you.
