Matthew McEwan/McKeon (born c1800) married Mary Walsh (born c1815) in Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1846. Both came from Roscommon. Matthew's parents were Bartholomew McKeon and Bridget Mulhearn.
LDS site has the marriages of a Bartholomew McKeon and Honor Gallagher on 15 Feb 1819 in the Parish of Boyle and
Bartholomew McKeon and Marion Mulhern 1 Feb 1844 in the adjoining Parish of Aghanagh.
Basing my premise, on the combination of time frame, same locale and relatively uncommon name, that there could be a family connection, what should be my next move? I have no experience of family research in Ireland.
