Athlone Orphanages

I am looking for the names of any/all Orphanages located <br>in or near Athlone. My wifes father was in one from about <br>1910 onwards till about 1924, when he was sent out into<br>the world. He was taught the trade of Shoe Repair, and was<br>a craftsman at it.<p>Any info will be appreciated.....<p>Thanks....Stu:

Many who died are buried in Drum old cemetry where they are remembered by a plaque erected by the Drum Heritage group<br>
