In 1812, Elizabeth married Thomas GAVICAN, a.k.a. Gavikan, Gaviken, Gaviken, at St. Joseph's Church in Boyle.
Among their children were Richard, James, Edward, Thomas and Robert GAVICAN. During the famine, some of them scattered to other places; Edward to Scotland, and my gr-grandfather, Robert, to Boston, Massachusetts in the U.S. in 1847, where his surname, GAVICAN, became GAVAGAN.
Robert married Mary Agnes LYNCH, and they raised a family of nine children in Boston.
