McGlynn Family;Kilglas Parish, Ballykilcline Townland

Does anyone have input regarding obtaining pre- 1849 records regarding Irish families?? My GGG Grandfather Emigrated out of Ballykilcline Townland, Kilglas Parish in December of 1848 apparently after a Tenant revolt. Edward McGlynn was his name and The Parish priests of Roscommon AND Kilglas Parishes claim they have no records earlier than 1867.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
