Flynn/Forde Innishmagrath

Hi all,

I've just joined the Bulletin Board and am trying to trace Hugh Flynn who married Anne Forde in Manorhamilton in 1855. I have been in touch with the Leitrim Genealogy Centre who have provided details of seven children who were all born in Innishmagrath – Michael (1865), Sarah (1866), Hugh (1868), James (1870), Anne (1872), Peter (1873) and Anne (1877). I have been tracing another daughter, Catherine, whose birth is thought to have occurred around 1861 unfortunately however the parish records for that period are missing and the civil records had not commenced.

I would love information of who were Hugh and Anne’s parents and about Hugh’s vocation and life in Leitrim. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Catherine emigrated to Australia and married John Renholt Anderson, a mariner who had been born in Sweden. I would be happy to provide information on this family in Australia in return.
