Tracing Dolan Roots

Hello, I'm John Dolan. I am looking for information on my great-great grandfather John Bernard Dolan. His father was Bernard Dolan and his mother was Bridgett McGovern. He was born in 1844. My information says it was in Cavan, but the research center says no. The Mayo research center also says no. That leaves Galway, Roscommon, and Fermanagh to check. John Bernard immigrated to Ontario, Canada sometime between 1844 and 1869, where he married Mary O'Neill (also born in Ireland in 1849) in 1869. I'm wondering if I should hire someone to speed up my research. Any suggestions? Help!

Try the 1901 Census which is on this site. Unless they emigrated or died young, you might find him.
