McGrath Family

Post by caroljames »

I am trying to trace my great grandfather John McGrath born about 1860 in this area, later of Liverpool. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The following may be of some use.

The marriage of Andrew McGrath in Ardcarn and tuamna Catholic parish is listed on the LDS filmed copy of the actual register:

24 Feb 1852, Andrew McGrath married Eleanor McGreevy. See LDS microfilm 989746 for names of witnesses, etc. With luck the register may list the townland.

The LDS Vital Records Index (second edition) includes the 1854 marriage of John McGrath and Bridgid Brennan. See LDS film 989743 for witnesses and ?? townland.
