I have Michael Joseph Gilhooly b.1896, d. 10-25-1970 (Chicago) married to Mary Ann Phillips b.Feb 1899 in Cully, County Sligo, d. 1-18-1981 in Chicago. I am a Phillips descendant so I do not have much info on the Gilhooly line. I am expecting more info from that side soon. will post if I get more info. Good luck with your search.

Gilhooly/Gallogly

Post by Jim Bohan »

Be advised that the names Gilhooly and Gallogly are the same in the Church records for St. Patricks Mohill County Leitrim. There are variations on the spellings of Gilhooly, but the names are interchangeable and appear side by side for birth and marriage records. God Bless Jim Bohan

I am trying to track down a Nellie Gilhooly that married a Michael Davey on November, 6, 1895 at St. Ignatius Church and All Saints in Chicago.

Nellie is my husbands great great grandmother - I am stumped with both relatives that this point in the line.

I believe that Nellie had a sister named Molly.
