Thomas Waters 1871
I am looking for information about my great grandfather Thomas Waters. I believe he was a farmer in Sligo.He married a widow, Mary Anne Harkins nee Higgins.Mary had 2 daughters,Beatrice and Mary, by Patrick Harkins.Thomas and Mary had a son,Thomas born 1871. Thomas sen. died and Mary took the 3 children to Glasgow. That's all I know.Please help me if you can. Thank you ,Tom W.

Civil Registration by the government of births, marriages and deaths in Ireland began in 1864. You can obtain the 1871
birth registration of Thomas (Jr) and the death registration of Thomas Sr, and probably the marriage registration of Thomas and Marry Ann, assuming they married in the late 1860's or
1870.
You can get these through a Mormon Family History Library
if you have a branch near you, or go to the General Registry
Office (Dublin) website: www.groireland.ie
