I have no idea where he is from in Ireland. However obit states that he was in Royal Irish Regiment-witnessing bombardment of Alexandria. Of course it also states he was from Ireland-no county listed in all records I have obtain on him. He married a Fannie O'Keefe from PortLaois, Ir. He died 12/21/98 in Hartford, Ct. Shows up in city directory 1889. There is also a Annie E. and another Thomas Neary in city directory for 1882. Any information would be great appreciated.<p>Thank you.<br>Maureen Neary-Currier<br>

Don't know if this will help, but a number of Neary families were settled in Mayo at the base of Nephin (Ballyknock and Lahardane area) approximately 100 years ago ... later to move into places like Breaffy, Straide, Foxford, Castlebar, and of course the USA. Don't know of any Roscommon connections but it's more than possible <br>
