I might be typing this all wrong but here goes. The main butchers in the town of Manorhamilton at the present time are Called McSharrys.

From the pattern of family male names, I believe his father would have been a James McSharry.

All family records relating to family in Ireland were destroyed by a relative back in the 1960s. I am now the oldest McSherry; there is no one else to ask.

One vivid memory I have is of a picture that had been sent to my grandfather of a relative, a young man, in a WWI British Army uniform. Written on the back of the photo was, "Home from the Great War." Also on the back of the photo was a round stamp that identified the name of the pharmacist and the town where the film was processed. Alas, that photo was among the destroyed material.

Those are the only clues I have. Would appreciate any assistance, suggestions, or ideas. Thank you.
V/r, Pat McSherry
