The Flynne (Flynn) family and Crockawaddy

Post by The Flynnestones »

Hello everybody - I'm new on here so please forgive any "Silly" questions! I am currently researching my mother's family. She was born Ellen Flynn in the Townland of Crockawaddy in January 1907. I have a good match in the 1901 Census which I am following up under the surname Flynne (Found on this L-R site). I have Patrick and Anne (Gt grandparents) John and May (Grandparents) and Bridget, Patrick and Mary (Aunts and Uncles). I know there are more children and that some emigrated to the USA - one possibly becoming a policeman in New York. I'm particularly interested in any information about Crockawaddy and the Flynnes (Flynns). We will be visiting the area next year. (Mary Conefrey of the Leitrim County Library has provided maps etc and I am aware they have a database there).
