East Orange, New Jersey - Gunning/Walsh Marriage

John E. Gunning b1871, Married Jennie A. Walsh b1872, at St. Mary's Help of Christian, East Orange, New Jersey on 7 June 1891. According to the 1910 US Census they were still living in East Orange New Jersey and had the following Children:

Joseph P. Gunning - b1893,
Michael E. Gunning - b1895,
Clarence Gunning - b1897,
Jane B. Gunning - b1898,
Mary Gunning - b1899,
John F. Gunning - b1901,
Andrew D. Gunning - b1903,
Thomas A. Gunning - b1905,
Martin J. Gunning - b1907.

All Birth Years are approximate. Possible Castlerea connection to Jennie Walsh. Any help would be much appreciated.

My grandfather was Terence Gunning. He was John Gunning's younger brother. I have traced the Gunning genealogy to 1775. They came from County Sligo Ireland. Patrick Gunning, John and Terence's father, came to the US at age 6 in 1850. I have a lot of stories if you are interested.

My Mother is Kate Walsh from Cloonchambers, Castlerea, County Roscommon. Her father was James Walsh who may have been a brother of Jenny Walsh.

Do you know if this is true or not?

Sorry, I didn't research the Walsh Family. My Grandfather Terence Gunning married Katherine Flynn from Roscommon but that's the only connection I have.
