Looking for information on Blakes/Joyce families. Great grandfather, Joseph Blake, Married Ellen Joyce. Feb 13, 1877. Joseph left Claremorris area for America with no further contact. Son, Patrick, my grandfather, born 1883, emigrated to America in 1897, bringing mother Ellen, sister, Mary Ellen and brother Thomas. Other brothers, Joseph, John and Francis George apparently stayed behind in Ireland. Any information someone might have on the three brothers would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks
This may not help you much but will certainly add to your Trivia pile (You do have one? Everyone should): the first Gov. Gen. of Hong Kong was Blake. As I recall he was from Galway. The time was the 1890s. Look in Conde Nast Magazine or Cond Nast Traveler circa 1993/4. You should find an article by a descendant.
Thanks
********************************************************Afraid I don't have alot of information for you either. This geneology thing is new to me, but I am also interested in looking for info on the Joyce tribe from the same area. The only info I have is of my grandfather, Micheal Joyce born
? 1890 and emigrating to US around 1910 to New York, then later to the Syracuse NY area. Only other direct relative I know was his uncle big Mike. Looking for any info on this name as possible.
