I was in Roscommon May of 1997 trying to go further back in the family ancestry. Went to the genealogical office in Strokestown but they said I would need to know the marriage date between Thomas H. Rooney and Bridget Siggins and whether their children including Michael Rooney were born in the USA or in Ireland.
