Politicians Charles Dolan and Sean McDermott

I'd like to know more about Charles Dolan and his affiliation with politician Sean McDermott from northern Leitrim, Kiltycloger in particular. I'm tracing an ancestor named Charles Dolan,son of James Dolan and Maria Gordon, born in the 1850's in Kiltycloger. There is a large statue of Sean McDermott in the center of Kilty. I'd appreciate any info on this subject. Thank you.

I'd appreciate any info on this subject. Thank you. <br>In 1966 I visited Kiltyclogher to visit my uncle Owen Sweeney of Gubmanus. I taped a little bit of our visit and still have it. On the tape he tell's of the day the dedicated the statue to Sean McDermott. He said "they were lined up for miles around that day. It was a great day for us" I later learned that Sean McDermott involved in the Easter Rising and had died a hero of the Rebellion. Check out your local library I'm sure there's a book on the topic. <p>
