Mmmm, yes, well the subject says it all. I don't want to be rude, but why are you all looking up ancestors and things. Obviously I too find it interesting or I wouldn't have looked up the name, but where is this going to get you, and does it actually work?<br>

When you wrote, I was with wife and daughter in Ireland. I worked as an economic historian for a while, teaching at UC Berkeley back in the 1960s. I cannot readily give up an interest in history. Geneaology is not a main interest, but once I got to where my own great grandfather had grown up in an area near the River Shannon, I could not help feeling at home.
