seeking an e-mail friend in Ireland

Post by Don McCarten »

Hi there, My name is Don McCarten. I live in British Columbia, Canada. I'm a 35 yr. old male of Irish descent, (3 or 4 generations Canadian). I'm on a very low-key search for possible relatives, more curiousity than anything. I'd be very happy to recieve correspondence from people in Ireland, male or female. I've never been to Ireland, but I plan on getting there sometime this year or next and would appreciate hearing from people there about some of the things to see or do. I enjoy the outdoors, (BC is beautiful!), my dog (Brody/m/German sheppard), travel (limited to N. America so far) and socialising with friends. Anyone interested? E-mail me at (donmcr10@direct.ca) Cheers, Don

If she owns 1/2 and island out here I wish I did. I take it you've never been to Canadas' west? Spoil yourself sometime and make the trip. Your US $ goes along way up here, I believe its worth $1.43 or so Canadian (maybe more I'm not sure) try and find your relative and pay her a visit (if you get along, some people are long lost relatives by choice). I've been to your area a few times, I used to drive a charter bus out of Toronto, Ont. My bus actually caught fire outside of the air & space museum at the Smithsonian about 6 years ago. I was impressed with the woods and greenery just outside of DC, as a Canadian I'm afraid most of us don't think of the US as having a great deal of forest, etc... T.V. you know. Anyhow thanx for replying, enjoy the summer in DC. I plan to here in BC, Cheers, Don (donmcr10@direct.ca)
