I am looking for information on Ellen Fury (or Furey),<br>Daughter of John and Ann Fury of Roscommon, Ireland, Born <br>January, 1864. Don't know if there were siblings, but the<br>family came to the US (probably Boston or Marblehead) in 1880. <br>They may have settled in the Cambridge area.<br>Ellen married John Franklin Armstrong in Providence, R.I. in<br>1892. They had one daughter, Ann. Any information would be appreciated. <br>

Sorry -- the first follow up had no info. As you know by now it is difficult to find information in Ireland regarding the name Fury. My info. may not help you but -- John Fury m. Margaret Fox in Kilbeggan, Westmeath County in the early 1800's. Had (as far as I know) two children - Patrick and Joseph b. 1844 (my ancestor). Patrick and Joseph came to US in apx. 1865 -- went to Dubuque, Iowa where Patrick stayed. Joseph married Mary Ann Callahan in Iowa and went to Minnesota in 1882.
