I am new to doing research at this site. Hope I don't make any errors.<p>I am trying to find information about my great grandfather Hugh who came from Ireland in the late 1840s or early 1850s. He was born in Ireland in 1824 in, I believe, County Mayo. His wife was Mary Cannon who was born in 1836 in Ireland.<p>Through the U.S. Census I have them in Chicago, IL, USA from 1858 until their deaths in 1902. The Chicago Address directories also confirm this.<p>They lived at 125 E. Erie St. in Chicago. They owned the property. Mary had a brother named John.<p>I just recently found borthers and a sister I did not know I had for 52 years. I had never even seen a picture of my father until recently. Through this research I found the O'Briens. It's been very exciting and I want so very much to find out where the O'Briens came from in Ireland so I can go and visit their birth places. <p> DON WAGNER<p> Williamsville, MO USA 63967
