Seeking information regarding my family history. My great great grandfather was John Beirne from Rothscommon, my great grandfather was Thomas Beirne-married to Margaret. My grandfather was Patrick Beirne married to Mary Aroneo, who lived in East Orange, New Jersey. My father is Thomas Patrick Beirne of Wharton, New Jersey. Last generation of Beirne's for our immediate family history (so far!) is my brother, Michael Thomas Beirne who lives in Newton, New Jersey.

I don't have info on John or dates on either but Susan's mother Mary Lally McGreevy was born 2/5/1895 in Curry, Strokestown, parish Kilbride, Co. Roscommon in case this gives you a reference point. They resided at Farn Beg, Strokestown. I have a little info on descendants if you need it.

You cite a marriage into a McGreevy family, and that background excited my interest. My great grandfather was Patrick Henry McGreevy (b., baptized at Croghan Church, 1815; came to Hamilton OH in 1840). His browth Owen (1813-93) married Bessie Beirne. His fifth son, Richard (1855-1930), in turn fathered a son, Michael (1930-1993), who wrote a wonderful family history.
