My relative, Harold came from Ireland after being wed to
Ida Schnider, can anyone give me information about the geneology
of my family based on this? They left Ireland around 1900, I know this
is vague but I need help. A family history, a lead, anything is helpful
They moved to a little town in New York called Troy,
can you help me?

It is in Rensselaer County. I grew up there. You might try the Troy Public Library which has a genealogy section, including some death indexes and city directories. It also has newspapers on microfilm. The county historical society also is based in Troy. If you know what part of the city they lived in, you also might try church records. The city library has been responsive to my mailed requests in the past. Mary Lee Dunn

My Mom, RIP, was one.
